2026 ISHA Conference Session Call for Proposals

We are very excited to be hosting this year’s ISHA conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!  The conference will take place September 23rd & 24th, 2026.

Starting today we are accepting proposals for conference sessions.

Sessions can cover a variety of subjects: collections, curation, education, fundraising, marketing, memberships, operations, programming, technology, sales and beyond.

When putting together your proposal, please consider the following:

  • Sessions must be primarily educational and not an advertisement for a service or company.
  • Sessions should consider practical application of information and engage a range of institution types, sizes, budgets, etc.
  • Opportunities to make it hands on and/or interactive – workshop, roundtable discussion, breakout groups, practicum, etc.
  • Presentations should include audio and/or visual elements.
  • If hosting a panel, consider including speakers from a variety of sports and institutions.
  • Sessions are, typically, scheduled to last 60 minutes, including open Q&A.

Please feel free to pass along this information to anyone outside of ISHA that you think might be interested in presenting or might have something to contribute.

Click the following link to submit your proposal https://forms.gle/bzLUqSctKm7wVq5B6

Completed proposals are due no later than Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Proposals will be reviewed by the ISHA Board of Directors and you can expect to hear back about your proposal’s status by the end of June 2026.

Please note, presenters do not receive free or reduced rate conference registration. Presenters are not required to attend the conference, but must register if interested in participating.
