The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit, We are the Champions: Georgia’s College Football National Championship Teams, is now on display in the museum’s rotunda. From Georgia Tech’s 1917 National Championship team to Valdosta State’s Division II national title in 2012, the exhibit highlights the handful of college football teams from Georgia that have been declared the best in the country. Along with jerseys, helmets, footballs, and photographs from the University of Georgia, Georgia Southern, and the University of West Georgia, the exhibit features many unique artifacts such as Georgia Tech’s 1917 National Championship trophy, a 1985 Georgia Southern National Championship ring, and a 1943 Rose Bowl program from the University of Georgia. We are the Champions: Georgia’s College Football National Championship Teams will remain on display through December.
